Helping Seniors Stay Safe, Comfortable, and Independent at Home

GoodHelp’s Home safety assessments and household support services are designed to make aging in place easier.

At GoodHelp, we provide two complementary services designed to support successful aging in place and give families greater peace of mind.

Home Safety & Aging-in-Place Assessments

Many homes were never designed with aging, mobility changes, or long-term independence in mind.

A professional Home Safety & Aging-in-Place Assessment provides a room-by-room evaluation of the home, identifying potential safety concerns, fall risks, accessibility challenges, and practical opportunities for improvement.

Each assessment includes a detailed report with photos, personalized recommendations, and prioritized action items to help seniors and their families make informed decisions about future improvements.

Mike Tenney is a Certified Senior Home Safety Specialist® (SHSS), trained to evaluate home environments for safety, accessibility, aging-in-place considerations, and fall prevention awareness.

Maintenance & Household Support Services

It's rarely one big project.

It's the running list.

The small repairs, household tasks, safety improvements, and organization projects that quietly pile up over time and slowly create stress.

Through one-time visits or ongoing scheduled support, GoodHelp helps seniors stay on top of those everyday needs and keep their homes comfortable, manageable, and well-maintained.

Many families appreciate having one trusted local person who understands the home and can help tackle a wide variety of household needs without coordinating multiple service providers.

From Assessment to Action

For some families, a Home Safety Assessment is the first step toward creating a safer and more comfortable home.

Some recommendations may be simple changes that homeowners or family members can complete themselves. Others can often be completed through GoodHelp's maintenance services, while larger projects may require licensed contractors or trade professionals.

The goal is simple: provide a clear plan and help families take the next steps with confidence.

A Different Kind of Help

GoodHelp was founded to help seniors and their families navigate the practical realities of remaining at home.

We work directly with seniors as well as their adult children who may live out of the area or simply need an extra set of trusted hands. We also support families navigating major life transitions, including moves, downsizing, loss of a loved one, illness, or recovery from injury.

Our focus is not simply completing projects. It's helping people remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the homes they love.

When something requires a licensed specialist or larger project, we will always say so and help guide next steps.

Our Promise

Our goal is simple: to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while giving families peace of mind knowing someone dependable is there to help.

Support is delivered with care, patience, and respect.
